About PHA
The Personalized Health Association is a national 501(c)(4) advancing responsible, evidence-based personalized healthcare by protecting the patient-provider partnership and helping healthcare policy keep pace with medicine.
We bring together patients, providers, researchers, policymakers, regulators, and responsible healthcare innovators to advance policies that protect independent medical judgment, expand responsible patient access, and support individualized care.
PHA works to advance a healthcare system where informed patients and trusted healthcare providers can make individualized decisions based on evidence, clinical judgment, and the circumstances of the individual patient.
We work to ensure that public policy protects patients while allowing medicine and responsible models of care to evolve.
Medicine is advancing rapidly. The policies and regulatory frameworks governing how care is delivered do not always advance with it.
Federal and state decisions can directly affect which treatments patients may access, how providers may practice, and whether responsible healthcare organizations can support individualized care.
PHA exists to help close that gap.
We engage policymakers, regulators, healthcare providers, patients, researchers, and other stakeholders to advance responsible policy before outdated or poorly constructed rules become barriers to appropriate care.
Our North Star
At the center of healthcare is a relationship: a patient and a trusted healthcare provider making individualized decisions about that patient's health.
PHA works to protect and strengthen that relationship as medicine evolves.
We believe patients should have access to responsible medical innovation and the information necessary to make informed decisions. Providers should be able to exercise independent medical judgment, informed by evidence and the circumstances of the individual patient. Public policy should protect patients while allowing medicine to evolve as science, technology, and evidence advance.
That means advancing responsible access, independent medical judgment, meaningful informed consent, stronger evidence, appropriate patient protections, and policies capable of accommodating increasingly personalized care.
Medicine is becoming more personal. Healthcare policy must evolve with it.
